Dawn on the Downs

10 Mile Route | 10km Route | 5km Route

HEAD OVER TO RAW ENERGY PURSUITS FOR THE RACE INFO AND MAPS

This is a stunning and picturesque run on the South Downs.  The venue for the event will be at ‘Cowdown’, a private farm on top of the downs close to Washington, West Sussex (RH20 4BA). Choose either the 10km or our popular 10-mile trail run and see some of the best views around stretching out to sea at the Rampion Wind Farm and the Norths Downs and Surrey Hills.  We’ve recently added a 5km option on a private track close to the SDW, if you fancy an alternative test to Parkrun. Whilst 8am is not actually a dawn start, it’s earlier than some of our other runs to avoid the midday sun at this time of the year. Canicross has grown significantly for this event as it’s ideal on the wide open trails and bridleways. Humans & dogs both get medals!

Part of your entry fee will go to Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance charity.

Protein Ball are one of our partners and will be at the event and to keep the kids entertained while you’re out running you can explore the countryside or take advantage of the free face painting!

Competitor race numbers will be posted out the week before the event. There is no need to register on the day.  The registration marquee will be in the main event field (Cowdown) which is where car parking and the start and finish are located.  Portable toilets will be also be at this location.

All runners receive a bespoke medal and unlimited race photographs from Sussex Sport Photography. We’ll also have free face painting for the kids

Charity Partner:

This year our charity partner is the Kent Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance who we will be supporting and donating to https://www.aakss.org.uk/  They do great work as I’m sure you’re all aware and as trail runners who are often off the beaten track, if you were involved in an emergency KSS may be the first people you see, so please be generous. There will be collection boxes at registration.
